Jude: Doxology!
-------
Now to him who is able to keep you from falling
and to present you before his glorious presence
without fault and with great joy—
to the only God our Savior
be glory, majesty, power and authority,
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.
--------
This passage is a doxology.
That's a churchy kind of word, but all it means is to praise God.
I've read the end of the book, and I know God's gonna win.
But the Bible says that victory starts in our hearts when God's people praise him.
Right now.
Today.
In the midst of all our turmoil.
Winning.
And that victory is so complete, that God thinks he can keep bumblers like us from falling.
Without fault and with great joy.
God's gonna have to get busy if he's going to remove all my faults, failures, and tendencies to fall.
I've still got quite a collection of them.
But God actually believes that victory starts today,
As soon as I start praising him with great joy.
Your life is an un-fallen, unfailing doxology,
and that shows that God is winning!

Oh victory in Jesus, my Savior forever
He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood
He loved me 'ere I knew Him and all my love is due Him
He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood
