DiaDeLosMuertos
Jeremiah 8: Dia de los Muertos
Even the stork in the sky
knows her appointed seasons,
and the dove, the swift and the thrush
observe the time of their migration

In Mexico, folks celebrate All Saints Day--Dia de los Muertos--by remembering their ancestors, Oct. 31 through Nov. 2.
It so happens that the monarch butterflies return to Mexico during this festival like clockwork, year after year.
Here's the thing: none of those butterflies have ever been to Mexico before.
But somehow they know that it is home, and they know the way.
Butterflies are a traditional symbol of resurrection and new life.
For the people of Mexico, those wings symbolize the flight of the beloved ancestors.
Like those monarchs, you've never been through this journey before, but you're headed for home.
Soon you, too will take to the sky.
And you know the way.
Christ is the way.
-------
I'm kind of homesick for a country
To which I've never been before.
No sad goodbyes will there be spoken
For time won't matter anymore.
