Exodus 17--Winning this Battle--Together
-------------
As long as Moses held up his hands, they were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the enemy was winning.
When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it.
Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset.
--------------
When Israel was in the battle of their lives, there were those on the front lines.
They needed the support of prayer warriors like Moses.
But even Moses couldn't do it alone.
He needed somebody to help him lift his hands.
Over the past 14 months we've made amazing progress against an unprecedented foe.
The tide of this battle is going in the right direction and we are winning.
But we haven't reached this point alone.
All over America--all over the world--every community has had a host of hometown heroes battling on the front lines.
Health care workers, mental health professionals, first responders--the list goes on.
They are still helping to win the battle, but they are exhausted.
Who can you lift up today?
Your support just might be all it takes to win the battle.
And let someone lift you up too.
This battle is too important to let your arms fail.
-----------------
Lord, give me the strength to lift up those who are in the battle today.
When I am weak and weary, let me lean on a good friend.
Lord, help us to win this battle... Together.
