Tuesday Scripture: Titus 3
Fools Gotta Hate
-----------------
Remind people to submit to rulers and authorities, to obey them, and to be ready to do good in every way.
Tell them not to speak evil of anyone, but to be peaceful and friendly, and always to show a gentle attitude toward everyone.
For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, and wrong. We were slaves to passions and pleasures of all kinds.
We spent our lives in malice and envy; others hated us and we hated them.
But when God showed us kindness and love, he saved us.
-----------------
No matter who you voted for last week, half the country thinks you were wrong. You might think the half who voted the other way are wrong too.
Don't speak ill of them, or their candidate. Instead, be ready to do something good. Be peaceful and friendly to everyone--even the ones who are wrong.
Chances are you've been wrong a few times yourself. You might have been downright foolish upon occasion.
The most foolish thing anybody can do is to be pulled into the haters' tug of war. Honor rulers and authorities, and show people kindness and love--just as God does. That's how God wins people.
Even fools like us.

Lord, Let me be an instrument of thy peace.
