Monday Scripture: Ezekiel 1
Wheels within Wheels
----------------------
As I looked at the living creatures, I saw a wheel on the earth beside the living creatures, one for each of the four of them.
Their appearance was like the gleaming of beryl; and the four had the same form, their construction being something like a wheel within a wheel.
---------------------
Western minds have seen this passage as evidence that Ezekiel was dreaming of military helicopters, or being visited by flying saucers.
Native people see this as evidence that Ezekiel was a good Indian.
Life is a series of interconnected circles.
Even in the western world we USED TO know that time moved in circles--until the whole world went digital.
The second hand, minute hand, and hour hand, USED TO be interconnected circles; wheels within wheels.
Each hour is still a Medicine Wheel of its own.
Each day is a unique cycle of those hours.
Each lifetime is a larger circle, made of smaller circles.
Each person's life is connected with the lives around them.
All lives are part of God's perfect cycle of life.
If we needed evidence of that, 2020 has provided a boatload.
A year ago somebody we've never heard of had a cough in China.
Today the whole world is wearing masks.
We are all interconnected.
That means that every positive action you do today also effects the whole world.
Do not think your circle is too small or insignificant.
Your actions and reactions reach around the world, and all the way to heaven.
So start the day with prayer.
End the day with prayer.
And in between, touch people with mercy and kindness.
That's enough to change the world...
Just ask Ezekiel.

Now let us have a little talk with Jesus
Let us) tell him all about our troubles
He will hear our faintest cry and he will answer by and by
Now when you) feel a little prayer wheel turning
And you know a little fire is burning
Then you will find a little talk with Jesus makes it right
