Scraps of Grace
Friday Scripture: Matthew 15
Scraps of Grace
----------------
A Canaanite woman came and knelt before Jesus, saying, “Lord, help me.”
He answered, “It is not fair to take the children’s food and throw it to the dogs.”
She said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.”
Then Jesus answered her, “Woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish.”
And her daughter was healed instantly.

This week we celebrate World Communion Sunday.
All over the world children of God will be invited to the Lord's Table to feast on the bounty of Christ's grace.
We have found abundant mercy, forgiveness, kindness, and unconditional love.
Meanwhile, just outside our doors, there are multitudes who don't know any of that.
The world they know is quick to condemn, blame, mock, and shame.
They don't even look for a place at our table.
But they desperately need a few crumbs of grace.
In 2020, the whole world is starving for a little scrap of grace.
Do you have enough to share?
A little kindness? Compassion? Healing? Hospitality?
A little scrap of grace can change the world.
