Thursday Scripture and Prayer: Psalm 30
Joy Comes in the Morning
-----------------
Sing the praises of the Lord, you his faithful people;
praise his holy name.
For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may abide for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning.
------------------
Good morning, Lord!
The Sacred Red Road of sunrise offers radical grace.
Yesterday's faults, failures, wounds, and sorrows--though they be many--are all past.
Last night's tears can only follow you if you go back to retrieve them.
Today is a brand new circle of life.
That is a miracle.
And that is enough.
If your heart is breaking and you cannot find any joy, then look at the sunrise, think of God, and praise him.
Morning praise sets your heart free from yesterday.
Singing praise will open the door to joy.

Bright morning stars are rising
Bright morning stars are rising
Bright morning stars are rising
And day is a-breaking
In my soul
