Genesis 9
The Rainbow Still Shines
And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you,
a covenant for all generations to come:
I have set my rainbow in the clouds,
and it will be the sign of the covenant
between me and the earth."

Without the rain, there is no rainbow.
Without the storm, there is no ark.
Without chaos, there is no creation.
Without Good Friday, there is no Easter.
Without our current crisis, there is no re-start.
The rainbow still shines.
The promise is still valid.
The covenant is still in force.
Every living creature still means all my relations.
God has not forgotten.
Neither will we.

Creator God, turn my heart to face this storm,
So that I might never miss a rainbow.
You will never forget me,
Nor anyone in all Creation.
Let me see the rainbow, and let me remember.
