Monday Scripture: Isaiah 43
Redeemed, Named, Claimed, Loved
------------------------------------
Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
For I am the Lord your God.
Since you were precious in My sight,
You have been honored,
And I have loved you.
I, even I, am the Lord,
And besides Me there is no savior.
Do not remember the former things,
Nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing,
Even now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.
------------------------
I like to fish, but fishermen have ruined yesterday for me.
No matter what day you get to the water, somebody wants to say you shoulda been there yesterday.
They were really biting yesterday--a fish on every cast!
You shoulda come last week--the conditions were perfect!
You shoulda been here 10 years ago--we were catching our limit every day!
No matter how good yesterday was, it's gone.
Today is all we've got.
The whole world is in the birth pangs of something new, and right now it's full of pain and confusion.
The journey ahead looks difficult at best.
Make no mistake:
God has not forgotten you.
You are HONORED by God, NAMED by God, CLAIMED by God,
REDEEMED by God, LOVED by God.
He's making a new way for you.
But you'll never get there by looking in the rear view mirror.
Today is all we've got.
And in God's hands, that is more than enough.

When the darkness appears and the night draws near
And the day is past and gone
At the river I stand
Guide my feet, hold my hand
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home
