Psalm 1: In all they do, they prosper
--------
Happy are those who do not follow the advice of the wicked,
or take the path that sinners tread,
or sit in the seat of scoffers
But their delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law they meditate day and night.
They are like trees planted by streams of water,
which yield their fruit in its season,
and their leaves do not wither.
In all that they do, they prosper
--------
Hmm... I'm glad the psalmist is sure about this but...
I'm not it works out that way.
It seems that those who shout loudest, baddest lies for the longest time are those who are making a fortune--
and I'm not.
Their lies may be cash cows, but what do they gain?
Strife and division, cynicism and distrust.
Those whose roots drink deep from God's word bear a different kind of fruit.
Peace and unity, faith and hope.
That is true prosperity.
Don't let the world tell you the liars are prospering.
Sink YOUR roots deep in God's love.
You'll bear the kind of fruit the world needs most.
And you will prosper.
