Exodus 17
Winning this Battle... Together.
-------------
As long as Moses held up his hands, the [people of God] were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the [virus] was winning.
When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it.
Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset.
--------------
When Israel was in the battle of their lives, there were those on the front lines.
They needed the support of prayer warriors like Moses.
But even Moses couldn't do it alone.
He needed somebody to help him lift his hands.

In this covid battle, there are lots of people on the front lines.
Health care workers, mental health professionals, first responders--the list goes on.
They are doing their best to turn the tide, but they all need someone to lift them up.

Who can you lift up today?
Your support just might be all it takes to win the battle.
And let someone lift you up too.
This battle is too important to let your arms fail.
-----------------
Lord, give me the strength to lift up those who are in the battle today.
When I am weak and weary, let me lean on a good friend.
Lord, help us to win this battle...
Together.
