John 20: In Business with Dad

Again Jesus said, Peace be with you!
As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.
And with that he breathed on them and said,
Receive the Holy Spirit!
If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven--
If you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.

Wait, what?
It's Easter, and Jesus is giving us the power to NOT forgive?
Well, no.
Jesus is just stating a fact.
The world is FULL of condemnation.
In our cancel culture, anybody who was ever guilty of anything can be condemned anytime by anybody...
Next thing you know, they're condemned by EVERYbody.
And they probably deserve the condemnation.
Here's the thing:
We ALL have sinned and fallen short of God's best.
We're ALL guilty.
Thank God, He and His Son are in the forgiveness business.
And Jesus makes us equal partners.
People desperately need forgiveness--
And if they don't get it from Christ's family,
where will they find it?
Good thing we're all working for Dad in the family business.
