Wednesday Scripture: 2 Kings 6
Veterans Day
-------------
When Elisha's servant got up early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded them. “Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?” the servant asked.
“Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Someone once asked President Lincoln if he thought God was on his side.
“Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side,” said the President, “my greatest concern is to be on God’s side, for God is always right.”
So long as our soldiers are employed in the service of what is right and good, God's forces will always have their back. Let us pray for a nation that seeks the will of God, and let us honor those who served that greater good.
